I’ll admit I used to find the old LinkedIn mobile app inferior. So much of my day to day Social Selling routine was not available on the app.
The app is evolving, and becoming a powerful tool. I’m catching myself using it as often as I do my other main Social Selling apps:
Here is one of the best tools the app has to offer – calendar syncing. This now aligns every meeting invite that includes other people, now showing their LinkedIn profile.
Where do I use it?
For any sales rep that I meet face to face, once I park my car, I open up my meeting invite (see below) and do a full review of every attendee’s LinkedIn bio. Our job as sales professionals is to relate and understand our buyer… So now their information is fresh in my head. I also want to know exactly what everyone looks like, before I step into the room.
This tool has saved me a few times, as I’ll admit I’m not the best with names & faces. I’ve walked into a few prospects’ corporate lobby, forgetting exactly who all the parties that I’d be meeting in just 5 minutes were. As the receptionist is tracking down my meeting party, I do 5 minutes of due diligence.
