In many ways, things are getting better for women in the workplace. They make up nearly half of the US workforce at 47%, according to the most recent data, and 51% of people employed in management and professional jobs.

However, the sales world remains very much a boys’ club. According to data by LinkedIn, women represent only 39% of sales roles.

The infographic below from DocSend describes how hiring a gender-diverse sales team is not only the right thing to do – it’s the smartest thing to do, too. Using data from Gallup, Wallstreet Journal and Harvard Business Review, it lists tangible benefits derived from including more women in the sales organization.
